Rolex Oyster Perpetual 28mm
The Oyster Perpetual 28 is the smallest watch in Rolex’s Oyster Perpetual range: a 28 mm Oyster case with a domed bezel, a time-only dial with no date and the self-winding calibre 2232. In April 2026 Rolex added versions in 18 kt yellow gold and Everose gold, some with natural stone hour markers and some with a diamond-set bezel. Explore our collection of Rolex OP 28mm for sale.

What Defines the Oyster Perpetual 28
- Case: a 28 mm Oyster case with a monobloc middle case, a screw-down case back and a Twinlock winding crown, waterproof to 100 meters. It comes in Oystersteel, Rolex’s steel from the 904L family, in 18 kt yellow gold or in Everose gold.
- Bezel and crystal: a polished domed bezel, set with diamonds on the RBR references, over a scratch-resistant sapphire crystal.
- Movement: the calibre 2232, a self-winding Rolex movement with a silicon Syloxi hairspring, Paraflex shock absorbers and about 55 hours of power reserve.
- Precision: certified as a Superlative Chronometer, accurate to −2/+2 seconds a day after casing.
- Bracelet: the three-piece Oyster bracelet with a folding Oysterclasp and the Easylink comfort link, which lets out 5 mm on a warm day.
- Dial: hours, minutes and seconds only, with no date window.
The 2026 Gold Oyster Perpetual 28
At Watches and Wonders in April 2026, Rolex added 18 kt gold versions of the Oyster Perpetual 28. The 276208 in yellow gold and the 276205 in Everose gold keep the domed bezel, and on their lacquer dials the hour markers at three, six and nine o’clock are cut from natural stone, which Rolex describes as a first for the brand. On the green stone dial of the 276208-0002, that stone is heliotrope, with an ogive cut that keeps it from reflecting light.
Oyster Perpetual 28 vs. Lady-Datejust 28
The Lady-Datejust is the other 28 mm Rolex. It has the same case size but adds a date under a Cyclops lens, runs on the calibre 2236, and comes with fluted or gem-set bezels and in two-tone Rolesor. The Oyster Perpetual 28 keeps a plain domed bezel and a dial with the time only. Every 28 mm Rolex we have, Lady-Datejust included, is in our Rolex 28mm collection.
Before the 28: the 26 mm Oyster Perpetual
Rolex introduced the 276200 in 2020, with the then-new calibre 2232. Before it, the smallest Oyster Perpetual was 26 mm: the 176200, powered by the calibre 2231, which left the catalog when the 28 mm arrived. Pre-owned 26 mm models, the 176200 among them, are on our Oyster Perpetual 26 page.
Buying a Rolex Oyster Perpetual 28
Every watch we sell comes with our guarantee of authenticity. When you compare listings, check:
- Reference and dial. The dial should match the reference and its suffix: a 276208-0002 has heliotrope hour markers, and a 276248RBR has a diamond-set bezel.
- Diamonds. In the current catalog, Rolex sets diamonds on the Oyster Perpetual 28 only in gold, on the RBR references. A steel 276200 with a diamond bezel or dial was modified after it left Rolex.
- The warranty card. Rolex’s international guarantee runs for five years from the date on the card. Make sure the card matches the serial number of the watch.
- The bracelet links. A 28 mm watch has often been sized for a small wrist. Ask whether the links that were taken out come with it.
Rolex Oyster Perpetual 28 FAQ
How much is a Rolex Oyster Perpetual 28?
Rolex’s US retail price for the steel 276200 is $6,200, whatever the dial. The 2026 gold models run from $31,600 for the yellow gold 276208 to $39,150 for the Everose 276245RBR-0001 with a mother-of-pearl dial. Our price for each watch is on its listing.
Is the Oyster Perpetual 28 a women’s watch?
Rolex does not label it as one: it sorts its watches by size, and the 28 is the smallest Oyster Perpetual. It is mostly worn by women and by anyone with a slim wrist.
What movement is in the Oyster Perpetual 28?
The calibre 2232, introduced in 2020, with a silicon Syloxi hairspring and about 55 hours of power reserve. The gold models use the same movement as the steel 276200.
Does the Oyster Perpetual 28 have a date?
No. The Oyster Perpetual shows the hours, minutes and seconds only. For a 28 mm Rolex with a date, look at the Lady-Datejust.
Is there a gold Rolex Oyster Perpetual 28?
Yes, since April 2026: the 276208 in yellow gold and the 276205 in Everose gold, both with natural stone hour markers, plus the diamond-set 276248RBR in yellow gold and the 276245RBR in Everose gold.
