Will Rolex Discontinue Yacht-Master?

Rolex has retired parts of the range before. The entire first generation of the Rolex Yacht-Master II (references 116680, 116681, 116688 and 116689) was discontinued at Watches and Wonders 2024, which left the core Yacht-Master as the only series in production for the next two years. That is no longer the case. At Watches and Wonders Geneva 2026 Rolex relaunched the Yacht-Master II with reference 126680 in Oystersteel at $20,300 and reference 126688 in 18ct yellow gold at $57,800, both powered by the new calibre 4162. The Ring Command bezel was dropped on the new generation, and the countdown is programmed through the pushers instead. Both Yacht-Master families are current collections again. Individual references will keep rotating in and out, as they have since the collection launched in 1992, but nothing points to Rolex retiring the Yacht-Master name itself. The 37mm, 40mm and 42mm Yacht-Master remains a staple of the catalog, offering the same mix of luxury and sport that made it a must-have in the first place.
