Green Dial Rolex Watches

Green is Rolex’s house color, the color of its boxes and tags, and it appears on some of the brand’s most recognizable dials. This page gathers every green face Rolex we list: the mint green and olive green Datejust, the Day-Date in olive, ombré and green aventurine, the Submariner 116610LV “Hulk”, the yellow gold Daytona known as the “John Mayer”, the Sky-Dweller and the GMT-Master II. Available watches come first, each marked unworn or pre-owned, and sold references stay at the end for comparison. The filters narrow the grid by shade, case size, bracelet and price.

Green Rolex Price

At Watch My Diamonds, green dial Rolex watches range from $11,995 to $231,000 across 57 priced listings.

That range counts every priced listing on this page, including watches that have already sold, because a recent sale is often a better guide to the market than an asking price that has not moved in months. The model and the metal set the figure far more than the shade of green does. Steel Oyster Perpetual and Datejust models open the range, two-tone and ladies’ Datejusts sit in the middle, and the gold Day-Date, Daytona and Sky-Dweller models make up the top, with diamond-set bezels pushing individual pieces higher still. A listing marked “Price on request” is available, not sold.

Which Rolex Models Have a Green Dial

Seven Rolex collections appear on this page. The table sums up the case sizes and green dials represented here. Where a model has its own green dial page, the model name links to it.

Green Dial Datejust

The Datejust makes up the largest share of this page, from the 28 mm Lady-Datejust to the 41 mm, and it carries the widest range of greens. Mint green appears on the 41 mm 126334 and the 36 mm 126284RBR. Olive green appears on the yellow Rolesor 126233 and the 31 mm 278383RBR. The motif dials include the olive palm leaves of the 126234-0047 and the floral pattern of the 31 mm 278383RBR-0032. Steel, the three Rolesor combinations and solid gold ladies’ models are all here, on Oyster, Jubilee and President bracelets. The green dial Datejust page covers every size in detail, and the Datejust 126334 collection shows the 41 mm reference in all its dials.

Green Dial Day-Date

Rolex makes the Day-Date only in gold and platinum, and every one shows the day of the week spelled out in full at 12 o’clock, on the President bracelet. The olive green face with Roman numerals appears on the Everose 228235-0025, and in 36 mm on the 128235-0089. Green ombré dials, which darken from a lighter center to a near-black edge, appear on yellow gold 36 and 40 mm models, several of them with diamond or baguette bezels. Green aventurine, a stone dial with a fine natural shimmer, appears on 36 mm Everose models such as the 128395TBR-0020. Plain and bright green versions complete the set, in yellow and white gold and in platinum. See the green dial Day-Date page, or narrow it further to the olive Day-Date or the rose gold green dial Day-Date.

The Hulk, the John Mayer and Other Green Sports Models

The Submariner 116610LV, known as the “Hulk”, pairs a green sunburst dial with a green Cerachrom bezel. Rolex made it from 2010 to 2020, so every Hulk now sells on the secondary market. Its predecessor, the 16610LV “Kermit”, and its successor, the 126610LV “Starbucks”, both have a black dial, so neither belongs on this page. The yellow gold Cosmograph Daytona 116508 with a green dial is known as the “John Mayer”, and the current-generation 126508 carries the same green dial. The green Sky-Dweller adds an annual calendar and a second time zone to a 42 mm case, in white Rolesor with a fluted bezel or in yellow gold on an Oyster, Jubilee or Oysterflex bracelet. The GMT-Master II appears in white gold as the 126729VTNR and in yellow gold as the earlier 116718.

Shades of Green: Mint, Olive, Ombré and More

Rolex uses several distinct greens, and the shade named on a listing tells you which green face you are looking at.

  • Mint green: a pale, soft green, mainly on the Datejust 41 and 36 and the Sky-Dweller.
  • Olive green: a deeper, muted green, found on the gold Day-Date and the yellow Rolesor Datejust.
  • Green ombré: a gradient from a lighter green center to a near-black edge, on the gold Day-Date and the steel Datejust 41.
  • Green aventurine: a natural stone dial with a fine glitter, on the Day-Date 36.
  • Pistachio: a pale green from the Oyster Perpetual’s range of colored dials.

Green Face Rolex in Steel, Two-Tone or Gold

A silver and green Rolex usually means steel: the Oyster Perpetual, the steel Datejust and the Hulk Submariner. Two-tone Rolesor, which pairs steel with yellow, white or Everose gold, is where most of the mint and olive Datejusts sit, along with the Sky-Dweller 336934. For a gold Rolex with a green face, the choice widens to the Day-Date, the Daytona, the GMT-Master II, the yellow gold Sky-Dweller and the solid gold Lady-Datejust. The metal changes how the green reads: steel keeps it cool, while yellow gold warms olive and ombré dials.

What to Check Before Buying a Green Dial Rolex

A green sunray face changes a great deal with the light, looking almost black in shade and bright green in the sun, so ask for photos or a video in daylight before choosing between two shades. Check that the reference on the listing matches the dial you want, since several references come in more than one green. On a pre-owned watch, check the bracelet for stretch and, on a Hulk, the ceramic bezel insert for chips, and ask for the warranty card and box. Each listing states whether the watch is unworn or pre-owned, and shipping and returns are free.

Green Dial Rolex FAQ

How much is a green face Rolex?

It depends on the model far more than the color. The steel Oyster Perpetual and Datejust are the most accessible green face Rolex watches, two-tone and ladies’ Datejusts cost more, and gold models such as the Day-Date, Daytona and Sky-Dweller sit at the top. The price section above shows the current range on this page, including recent sales.

Which Rolex models come with a green dial?

On this page: the Datejust and Lady-Datejust, the Day-Date, the Submariner 116610LV “Hulk”, the Cosmograph Daytona 116508 and 126508, the Sky-Dweller, the GMT-Master II and the Oyster Perpetual.

Is the Rolex “Kermit” a green dial Submariner?

No. The 16610LV “Kermit” has a green bezel and a black dial, and so does the current 126610LV “Starbucks”. The 116610LV “Hulk”, made from 2010 to 2020, is the Submariner with both a green dial and a green bezel.

What is the difference between mint green and olive green?

Mint green is a pale, cool green, found mostly on the steel and white Rolesor Datejust and on the Sky-Dweller. Olive green is darker and warmer, and appears mainly on the gold Day-Date and the yellow Rolesor Datejust. Both look different in shade and in sunlight, so compare them in daylight if you can.

Why do some listings say “Price on request”?

Many references, especially gold Day-Dates and discontinued sports models, change hands faster than a listed figure can keep up with. A watch marked “Price on request” is available, so contact us for the current figure. Sold watches are marked as sold on the listing itself.
