Patek Philippe Minute Repeater
Explore our selection of Patek Philippe minute repeaters for sale — grande sonneries, tourbillon repeaters, world-time repeaters and gem-set Aquanaut Luce pieces, every one unworn. No house has made more minute repeaters, or made more of them the centre of its work. Patek Philippe still tunes every gong by hand, still has each finished watch listened to and approved before it leaves Geneva, and still treats the chime as the part of the watch that cannot be measured on a machine. The references here run from a single striking complication to twelve, and several of them exist in numbers you can count on one hand.Browse and filter this collection

Patek Philippe Minute Repeater Price
Every reference on this page is priced on request. That is not evasion — it is how Patek Philippe sells its striking watches, and how the secondary market for them works. These are pieces made in single or low double-digit quantities a year, several of them one-offs from the Haute Joaillerie department, and no two examples are equivalent enough for a list price to mean much. A gem-set Aquanaut Luce repeater and a platinum grande sonnerie are not the same product with a different sticker. Why the Repeater Belongs to Patek
A minute repeater chimes the time on demand: hours on a low gong, quarters on both together, remaining minutes on a high gong. The mechanism predates electric light, which was its point — it let you read a watch in the dark. It survived the lightbulb because the problem it solves turned out to be the hardest one in watchmaking: making a mechanism sound good. Nothing about that is calculable end to end. Gong alloy, gong length, how the gong is anchored, case metal, case volume, dial construction and the density of the movement plate all change the result, and they interact. Patek’s answer has been to keep the last stage human. Gongs are filed and tuned by hand, and every completed repeater is played to the company’s own listeners for approval before it ships. Platinum is the hardest case metal to make sing — it is dense and absorbs energy — which is why a platinum repeater is the flex it is.The References in This Collection
Fourteen references, grouped by what the striking mechanism is paired with. The plainer the row, the rarer it actually is: a pure repeater with nothing to hide behind is the harder watch to get right.| Complication set | References here | Notes |
| Grande sonnerie, petite sonnerie and minute repeater | 6301P-001 | 703 parts, three gongs, 44.8 mm platinum, Grand Feu black enamel |
| Twelve complications, including repeater and tourbillon | 6002R-001 | Sky Moon Tourbillon; double-faced, hand-engraved 44 mm rose gold |
| Repeater, split-seconds chronograph and perpetual calendar | 5308G-001 | 799 components, 42 mm white gold, ice-blue sunburst dial |
| Repeater, tourbillon and retrograde perpetual calendar | 5316/50P-001 | Manual R TO 27 PS QR, 40.2 mm platinum, sapphire dial |

| Repeater and perpetual calendar | 5374G-001, 5374/300P-001, 5304/301-001 | “Cathedral” gongs; the 5304 uses a retrograde date on a sapphire disc |
| World-time repeater | 5531G-001 | The first repeater to chime local rather than home time |
| Repeater alone | 5178G-001, 7040/250G-001 | Grand Feu enamel dials; the 7040 is a 36 mm ladies’ reference |
