Patek Philippe 5205 Annual Calendar

The Patek Philippe 5205 is the 40 mm annual calendar of the Complications collection, introduced at Baselworld 2010. The day, date and month sit in three apertures along an arc in the upper half of the dial, above a moon phase with a 24-hour indication at 6 o’clock. Patek Philippe makes two versions today: the 5205G-013 in white gold with a blue sunburst dial and the 5205R-011 in rose gold with an olive green dial. Patek Philippe 5205 Price

At Watch My Diamonds, Patek Philippe 5205 watches range from $47,300 to $60,955 across 5 priced listings.

That range includes watches that have already sold, and listings without a price are offered on request. For comparison, Patek Philippe’s US retail price for both current references, the 5205G-013 and the 5205R-011, is $67,267, as shown on patek.com in October 2026.

The 5205 References

A 5205 reference reads in two parts. The letter after the number gives the case metal, G for white gold and R for rose gold, and the three-digit suffix identifies the dial. Patek Philippe has made six versions since 2010, and two of them are still in the catalog:

Reference Case Dial Introduced
5205G-001 White gold Two-tone silvery gray 2010
5205G-010 White gold Two-tone black and slate gray 2010
5205R-001 Rose gold White opaline 2013
5205R-010 Rose gold Black lacquered 2013
5205G-013 White gold Blue sunburst, black-gradient rim 2018, current
5205R-011 Rose gold Olive green sunburst, black-gradient rim 2022, current

The blue dial of 2018 replaced both white gold versions. The two current dials share the same treatment: a sunburst finish that darkens toward a black rim, with faceted baton hour markers and faceted dauphine hands in the gold of the case.

Buying a Pre-Owned 5205

  • The papers. A complete watch comes with its box and the Patek Philippe Certificate of Origin or warranty card. The case and movement numbers on the papers should match the watch.
  • The calendar. Check that the day, date and month change over correctly around midnight. A 5205 that has been left unworn only needs setting; one that skips or sticks needs a service.
  • The case. The scalloped flanks and skeletonized lugs lose their sharp lines with heavy polishing, so look closely at the edges.
  • The strap and buckle. Patek Philippe delivers the current references on a hand-stitched alligator strap with a prong buckle in the gold of the case. Ask whether the original strap and buckle come with the watch.

Each listing on this page states its condition, unworn or pre-owned. Every piece is inspected and authenticated by our specialists before it is listed. You can visit us at 62 W 47th Street, Suite 806, in Manhattan’s Diamond District, or ask us for more photos and the current price.

Patek Philippe 5205 FAQ

How much is a Patek Philippe 5205?

Patek Philippe’s US retail price for the current 5205G-013 and the 5205R-011 is $67,267, as of October 2026. Pre-owned prices depend on the reference, the condition and whether the watch comes with its box and papers.

Is the Patek Philippe 5205 still in production?

Yes. Patek Philippe still makes the 5205G-013 in white gold with a blue dial and the 5205R-011 in rose gold with an olive green dial. The earlier references, the 5205G-001, the 5205G-010, the 5205R-001 and the 5205R-010, are no longer in the catalog and change hands on the pre-owned market.

What is the difference between the 5205G and the 5205R?

The letter gives the case metal: G is white gold and R is rose gold. Case size and movement are the same. In the current catalog, the 5205G-013 has a blue sunburst dial on a shiny black alligator strap, and the 5205R-011 has an olive green sunburst dial on a patinated two-tone green alligator strap.

How big is the Patek Philippe 5205?

The case is 40 mm across, with a thickness of 11.36 mm on the current references. It has a concave bezel, scalloped flanks and skeletonized lugs, and a sapphire crystal case back that shows the movement.

How often does a 5205 need to be adjusted?

Once a year. The annual calendar mechanism, which Patek Philippe invented and patented in 1996, knows which months have 30 days and which have 31, so it needs only one manual correction a year, at the end of February.
