Screw-down case back, and a Twinlock winding crown. Silver-tone fixed fluted bezel. Scratch-resistant sapphire crystal, complete with a Cyclops lens over the date.
Powered by the Rolex Calibre 2236, a perpetual, self-winding mechanical movement. Features center hour, minute, and seconds hands, an instantaneous date with rapid setting, and stop-seconds for accurate time adjustments. Water resistance up to 100 meters (330 feet).
