The movement operates at 28,800 vibrations per hour (4 Hz) and features a 48-hour power reserve, offering dependable autonomy for everyday wear. Rolex equips the 3132 with its blue Parachrom hairspring—a paramagnetic alloy engineered to withstand temperature variations and magnetic interference. It also includes Paraflex shock absorbers, a major improvement over earlier generations, providing better resilience against impacts.
The 3132 features a free-sprung balance with Microstella regulation, ensuring consistent accuracy even under challenging conditions. A bidirectional Perpetual rotor maintains efficient automatic winding, allowing the movement to stay powered with normal wrist motion. As a COSC-certified chronometer, the 3132 is tested and certified for precision before being cased and further regulated by Rolex.
