Panerai Blue Dial

Blue is the color that suits Panerai best. The cushion cases and sandwich dials were built for legibility underwater, and a deep blue face carries that Italian Navy lineage more honestly than black ever did. Our current selection runs to 24 unworn references across Luminor, Luminor Due, Submersible and Radiomir, in sizes from 38 mm to 47 mm.

Panerai Blue Dial Price

At Watch My Diamonds, unworn blue dial Panerai watches range from $6,450 to $10,650 across 8 priced listings.

The remaining sixteen — mostly precious metal and limited-run references — are offered on request, because those figures move with the market rather than sitting still on a tag. Call us for a current quote on any of them.

Which Panerai Wears Blue Best

The Luminor Marina is the reference point: crown-protecting bridge, small seconds at nine, and a sandwich dial that reads near-black until light reaches into it. We hold it in 42 mm and 44 mm, including a Goldtech case and an Esteel case on blue fabric. The Luminor Due is the thin one. At 38 mm and 42 mm it is the blue Panerai for a wrist that finds 44 mm too much watch, and the Due Luna adds a moon phase without adding bulk. The Submersible puts blue where it was meant to go. Our 42 mm and 44 mm pieces include a Carbotech case — forged carbon fiber, no two patterns alike — alongside the Quarantana Quattro at 44 mm. The Radiomir keeps the original cushion case and wire lugs. The 45 mm PAM01335 is the closest thing on this page to the 1930s Royal Italian Navy original.

The Case Decides the Blue

Panerai develops its own alloys, and the same dial reads differently against each one. Goldtech is a red gold with a copper bias that warms the blue beside it. Esteel, built from recycled steel, reads cooler and flatter. Carbotech is matte black and pushes the blue in the opposite direction entirely. BMG-Tech, a bulk metallic glass, is harder than steel and nearly featureless in the light. When two blue dials look alike on screen, the case is usually what separates them on the wrist.

The Luna Rossa Pieces

Panerai has backed Luna Rossa, the Italian America’s Cup challenger, since 2019. Two Quaranta references here come out of that partnership, both 40 mm — one in steel on blue fabric, one in DLC-coated steel. That blue belongs to the sailing team, not the standard catalog.

Buying an Unworn Panerai

Every blue dial Panerai listed here is unworn, and most of it is 2024 production. Unworn means what it says: never sized, never worn outside, complete as it left the factory. It is the way to current-generation Panerai without an authorized dealer waiting list. We are a New York dealer — call (212) 382-2600, or see the watches at 62 West 47th Street, Suite 806.
