Cartier Diamond Watches

Cartier sets diamonds on the bezel of the Santos, the Ballon Bleu and the Panthère, around the case of the Baignoire and the Tank Américaine, and on the dial of watches such as the Rotonde. This collection brings together new and pre-owned Cartier diamond watches of two kinds: factory pieces, with brilliant-cut diamonds set by Cartier, and custom pieces, with diamonds added after the watch left Cartier.

Cartier Diamond Watch Price

At Watch My Diamonds, Cartier diamond watches range from $4,511 to $49,610 across 34 priced listings.

The range above includes watches that have already sold, which show what buyers actually paid better than an asking price does. A listing with no price shown is available on request, not sold. Who set the diamonds moves the price most, followed by the metal and by how much of the watch is set with stones. As on any Cartier, condition and the original box and papers matter too.

Factory vs Custom-Set Diamonds

Factory diamonds were set by Cartier before the watch was first sold, and Cartier gives each diamond version its own reference number. One steel Santos de Cartier with a diamond bezel is W4SA0005, for example, while WSSA0018 is the plain steel large Santos. Custom diamonds were added afterward by a jeweler, which is how a steel Santos becomes an iced-out one. To tell the two apart, check that the reference on the papers belongs to the diamond version of the model, and that the serial number on the case back matches the papers. If Cartier servicing or resale matters most to you, choose factory diamonds: Cartier’s warranty terms exclude alterations and unauthorized modifications, and a Cartier service center may decline to work on stones it did not set. If you want more diamonds for the money, a custom piece gives you that. Each listing below states whether its diamonds are factory-set or custom.

Where Cartier Sets the Diamonds

Diamond Cartier Watches for Men

For a men’s diamond Cartier, start with cases of 40 mm and up. The Clé de Cartier WJCL0011 is a 40 mm white gold watch with a factory diamond bezel, and the Ballon Bleu WE9008Z3 is a 42 mm rose gold watch with the same. The other route is a custom-set Santos de Cartier, from a diamond bezel alone to a fully iced-out case and bracelet.

Iced-Out Cartier Watches

An iced-out Cartier is set with diamonds well beyond the bezel, usually across the case, the lugs and the bracelet, and sometimes the dial. The iced-out pieces we list were set after they left Cartier, so they are custom pieces, and their listings give the appraised total diamond weight and the warranty that comes with the setting. The watch underneath keeps its Cartier movement and reference, so check its papers and serial number the same way you would on a factory piece.

Cartier Diamond Watch FAQ

Does Cartier make watches with diamonds?

Yes. Cartier offers diamond versions of many of its collections, with the stones on the bezel, around the case or on the dial. Examples include the Santos de Cartier W4SA0005, the Ballon Bleu W4BB0024, the Panthère W4PN0008 and the Pasha WJPA0012.

How can I tell if the diamonds on a Cartier are factory-set?

Check the reference number on the papers. Cartier gives each diamond version its own reference, so it should belong to a diamond model, and the serial number on the case back should match the papers. A Santos with a diamond bezel whose papers read WSSA0018 left Cartier as the plain steel Santos, and its diamonds were added later.

Will Cartier service a custom diamond watch?

Not always. Cartier’s warranty terms exclude alterations and unauthorized modifications, and a Cartier service center may decline to work on stones it did not set. Our custom listings state the warranty we provide instead, usually a one-year mechanical warranty plus a lifetime diamond replacement warranty.

How much does a Cartier watch with diamonds cost?

It depends mostly on who set the diamonds, then on the metal and on how much of the watch is set. Custom-set steel ladies’ watches are the most affordable, steel models with a factory diamond bezel come next, and gold jewelry models and fully iced-out pieces cost the most. The price section on this page shows the current range and updates as listings change.

Are these Cartier diamond watches new or pre-owned?

Both. Each listing states whether the watch is new or pre-owned and whether its diamonds are factory-set or custom. Every watch is guaranteed authentic, and shipping is free and insured.
